You will develop and optimize manufacturing processes, establish process controls, analyze production data, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, safety, and cost efficiency. Working closely with production, maintenance, R&D, suppliers, and global manufacturing teams, you will help drive strategic improvements across our Inserts Production Plant. This position offers a combination of shop floor engagement, laboratory analysis, project leadership, and collaboration with global engineering teams.\nKey Responsibilities Process & Production Engineering Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes and process formulations.\nEvaluate existing production methods and identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, safety, and cost performance.\nProvide daily technical support to production teams, resolving process, equipment, product performance, and quality-related issues.\nCollect, analyze, and interpret process data to support continuous improvement efforts.\nDesign, implement, and validate process improvements and production enhancements.\nProject Management & Innovation Lead capital investment projects that support advanced production technologies and new product development initiatives.\nSupport Sustainability and Digital Transformation 4.0 initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and implementing emerging technologies.\nCollaborate with R&D, production technology centers, suppliers, and global production facilities to drive innovation and best practices.\nReview process requirements and assess impacts related to cost, schedules, and implementation.\nQuality & Continuous Improvement Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects focused on increasing insert quality and manufacturing efficiency.\nCoordinate corrective action activities through root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions.\nEnsure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and operational requirements.\nDevelop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and technical standards.\nTeam Collaboration & Leadership Partner with production teams, maintenance personnel, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize performance.\nSupport operators through technical guidance, training, and coaching.\nPromote and support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and operational excellence initiatives.\nServe as an active contributor and leader on safety, continuous improvement, HAZMAT, and cross-functional teams.\nSafety, Compliance, & Reliability Demonstrate visible safety leadership and foster a proactive safety culture.\nEnsure all processes comply with applicable environmental, health, safety, and industry regulations.\nSupport ISO-certified quality, safety, and environmental management systems.\nWork closely with Maintenance and suppliers to improve equipment reliability and preventive maintenance programs.\nSupport alternative sourcing initiatives and process improvements to reduce production costs and increase operational efficiency.\nQualifications & Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.\nCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.\nRequires current authorization to work in the United States.\nSandvik cannot provide employment-based visa sponsorship for this role, now or in the future.\nThis role is based on site in Westminster, SC.\nRemote or international work arrangements are not available.\nRelocation assistance is not provided.\nPreferred Hands-on Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing Principles and continuous improvement methodologies.\nKnowledge of production processes, quality systems, and industrial manufacturing technologies.\nExperience leading capital projects and implementing process improvements.\nFamiliarity with Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing technologies, or automation initiatives.\nWhat You'll Bring A self-motivated and innovative mindset.\nStrong collaboration and relationship-building skills.\nA passion for manufacturing excellence and process improvement.\nThe ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving business needs.\nPositive energy, initiative, and a results-driven approach.\nWhy Sandvik Coromant?
