This is a four‑year, paid elevator apprenticeship program and an exciting career opportunity for someone who loves working with their hands, has mechanical aptitude, and wants to help individuals with limited mobility.\n\nWhat will you do?\n\nInstall and repair accessibility products including stairlifts, elevators and platform lifts\n\nExplain the product to the customer and answer questions\n\nEnter work order and inventory data in the Lifeway computer system\n\nReceive manufacturer training and on‑the‑job training (paid time)\n\nPick up and load company vehicle at our Danielson location each morning\n\nWork on jobs throughout CT and RI\n\nWork on both residential and commercial installations\n\nJobs may take several hours to several days (weekends optional)\n\nOur Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications\n\nExperience using hand and power tools\n\nBasic computer skills\n\nStrong customer focus and communication skills\n\nHigh school diploma or GED\n\nAbility to pass drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background screen\n\nAbility to drive company vehicle to various client sites and work flexible hours as needed to complete jobs\n\nPhysical Requirements Include The Following\n\nAbility to lift 75+ lbs\n\nFrequent overhead work\n\nAbility to work in both indoor and outdoor environments year‑round\n\nAbility to climb ladders, crouch, and occasionally work in confined spaces and at height\n\nAt Lifeway Mobility, we care about our employees' well‑being.
