Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.\n\nSummary of Major Responsibilities/Duties:\n\nPrepare monthly financial statements.\nMonitor cash flow (AR, AP, and payroll)\nAnalyze monthly job cost reports and make recommendations.\nDirect and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.\nMonitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.\nDirect and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.\nOversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.; funding service management, which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports.\nManage the preparation of the official annual financial statement.\nManage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.\nAssure corporate income tax compliance to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.\nEstablish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.\nDesign, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.\nOversee financial management including developing financial and budget policies and procedures.\nDirect external financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:\n\nKnowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting and profitability analysis.\nWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.\nWork requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.\nThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5 PM.
