This role will focus on automating deployments, managing cloud-native infrastructure, improving application observability, and ensuring the scalability, security, availability, and performance of business-critical systems.The candidate will collaborate closely with application development, QA, platform engineering, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and maintain reliable production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, deployment, and release management.Provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.Support and operate API platforms and microservices-based applications in production environments.Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.Develop automation scripts and operational tools using Python, Java, and TypeScript.Support Node.js applications and Maven-based build and dependency management workflows.Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, distributed tracing, and observability solutions.Improve system availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and fault tolerance.Participate in on-call support, incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.Define, monitor, and improve Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.Implement backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and production recovery strategies.Apply security best practices, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and DevSecOps controls.Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve release quality, deployment automation, and operational readiness.Support production releases and drive continuous improvements in reliability and operational efficiency.Mandatory Technical SkillsDevOps / SRE: 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, and production operations.Programming and Build Tools: Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, TypeScript, Node.js, and Maven.Containers and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform and automated infrastructure provisioning.API Platforms and Microservices: Experience deploying, supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining API-driven and distributed application architectures.CI/CD Automation: Experience designing and maintaining automated build, test, deployment, and release pipelines.Production Reliability: Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering skills.Observability: Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing solutions.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, ELK, or OpenSearch.Knowledge of API gateways, API lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, and API security.Experience with high-availability architecture, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.Familiarity with security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and DevSecOps practices.Experience with GitOps, automated rollback strategies, and progressive delivery.Understanding of incident management frameworks and SRE operational best practices.Work Location and Onsite RequirementsBellevue, Washington, or Frisco, TexasHybrid work model with onsite attendance required three days per week.Candidates must be willing and able to work from one of the specified locations.Additional InformationMandatory certifications: None.Prior UST experience: Not specified.Industry/domain experience: Not specified.Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure automation skills with practical software engineering and production SRE experience.
