This position description is designed to outline primary duties and qualifications, but not limit one to specified duties, to ensure individual and group success.\n**3rd Shift Hours: 11:00pm - 7:30am**\nJob Summary: A Downline Operator is responsible for the proper stacking of pallets of finished products, replenishing materials and cleaning the area, among other tasks. This requires strenuous lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing and twisting for the entire shift, and working in a warehouse environment that can have a temperature fluctuation of +/- 40 degrees. Individuals must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all safety procedures.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nLearn, practice, and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for Manufacturing.\nLearn, practice, and adhere to all Safety and Quality policies and procedures.\nPalletizing finished goods for storage.\nStaging and organizing packaging materials for downline operations: trays, glue, labels etc.\nAssist line Drivers with Operating cardboard baler machine.\nResponsible for disposing of downline waste: cardboard, pallet bands, label webbing rolls etc.\nMaintains case coder operation: setting/changing dates, code placement, cleanliness, installing Ink cartridges/canisters as needed etc.\nClearing case and carton jams, basic machine faults and resetting lane counts in tray packer.\nResponsible for allocating all packaging materials before, during and after each Production run: trays, labels etc.\nResponsible for loading correct Materials into tray packer: trays and glue.\nResponsible for changing/installing label rolls and making minor label delay adjustments as needed.\nVerifies all product lot numbers, case codes and SKUs are correct before and during each Production run.\nMaintains great communication with all Departments.\nRequired to assist with cleaning machines before, after and during each production run as necessary to maintain cleanliness and proper operation.\nResponsible for maintaining appropriate, detailed documentation, including entering detailed information of loss time production into RedZone.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment to ensure employee safety, product integrity and efficiency.\nPerform assigned tasks while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required.\nMust always have regular and reliable attendance.\nWork in other areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned.\nAble to work weekends and/or overtime as business needs require.\nEducation and Skills:\nRead, write, speak, and comprehend English.\nComprehend basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights and measures, and efficient use of a calculator.\nKnowledge and understanding of basic computer and control systems.\nAbility to communicate both written and orally within the organization.\nBasic knowledge of food processing and food safety.\nAbility to give positive suggestions to improve operations in the work center.\nTeam Oriented -
