They are required to maintain accurate and timely documentation of their services and provide it to the director or designee to ensure compliance with client contract and proper compensation for services rendered.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvides dental care and treatment to referred patients in accordance with facility regulations and standards.\nPerforms routine cleaning, restorative dentistry, and extractions as needed.\nEvaluates patients' dental care needs and makes clinically appropriate recommendations.\nTakes impressions for dental appliances and instructs patients in good dental hygiene techniques.\nMaintains accurate and confidential patient records and provides in-service training for health staff members.\n\nAdditional Details: Ideal candidates will have a strong background in general dentistry and be comfortable providing comprehensive dental care in a correctional healthcare setting. Responsibilities include dental examinations, routine cleanings, restorative procedures, extractions, impressions for dental appliances, patient education, and responding to dental concerns and emergencies as needed. Experience working with underserved or justice-involved populations is helpful but not required.
