This position is ideal for a detail-driven construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with project teams to deliver accurate, competitive, and well-analyzed estimates.You’ll bring strong digital takeoff skills, a deep understanding of construction estimating, and the ability to evaluate subcontractor bids and complex project documents with confidence.What You’ll DoPerform accurate digital on-screen takeoffs and quantity surveysPrepare detailed cost estimates for new construction and renovation projectsReview, analyze, and level subcontractor and vendor proposalsInterpret construction drawings, specifications, owner requirements, and regulatory criteriaCollaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractorsDevelop and maintain historical cost data to support future estimates and early-stage concept budgetsAssist with project budgets, RFP packages, and preconstruction presentationsWhat You BringRequired Experience & Skills8–10+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industryStrong proficiency with digital takeoff and estimating tools (Bluebeam, OST, or similar)Excellent ability to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsProven success supporting competitive bids and accurate estimatesStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsComfort working directly with clients and project stakeholdersPreferred ExperienceGeneral Contractor experienceAffordable housing project experienceRenovation estimating experienceWhat Sets You ApartProactive, solution-oriented mindsetHighly detail-focused and organizedStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesSelf-starter who can manage multiple deadlines and overlapping deliverablesComfortable interfacing with clients both virtually and in personEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Why Join Sun Country Builders?Because here, your work has impact.
