This position maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law, as well as standard operating procedures. The Loss Prevention Manager trains staff in established emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention procedures. The position focuses on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction and safety.\n\nYour day-to-day\n\nPatrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.\nRespond to emergency situations, including but not limited to safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and property.\nAssist the Director of Engineering in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness.\nComply and promote LodgeWorks standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.\nDeploy security staff to effectively monitor and protect property assets.\nAttend pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs and gather critical information to communicate to agents.\nSchedule the team based on forecasted hotel and restaurant occupancy levels.\nInitiate preliminary investigations into incidents, documents and reports to supervisor.\nConducts hazard and risk assessments at the property to include quarterly OSHA and safety audits, incident tracking and the hazard abatement process.\nMaintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards as required by scheduling, which varies according to hotel needs.\nWrite reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation as needed.\nRespond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.\nDefuse guest disturbances and escort from the property if necessary.\nComplete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documents.\nMonitor and distribute visitor and vendor access to the property by distributing visitor badges.\nDevelop monthly and quarterly checklists for all equipment and locations to ensure full functionality.\nCheck alarm, safety and fire alarm systems and closely monitor the security of building doors, service areas, delivery areas and grounds.\nAssist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and leading and directing guests and associates to safety.\nOversee the AED and first-aid program for guests and employees.\nFollow proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property.\nAssist with traffic control and any guest disturbances in bar and restaurant areas.\nProvide means for obtaining necessary medical attention on a timely basis.\nPerform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
