They will be involved in mission‑critical projects, taking the project from pre‑construction through final acceptance and successful completion. The engineer is directly responsible for project safety and quality, project budget, schedule and job controls, vendor management, submittals, and procedures.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\nManage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities, including planning procurement, design review, project controls, and work assignments.\n\nEnsure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule.\n\nPrepare documents to obtain quotes from vendors for material, equipment, and other specialty items.\n\nTrack material deliveries.\n\nInterface with departments, divisions, and internal staff on budgeting, staffing, discipline, training/development, scheduling, and other activities requiring discretion and judgment.\n\nReview engineering plans and vendor submittals.\n\nMonitor crew assignments to ensure productivity goals are met.\n\nConduct field walks and spot checks of work being performed.\n\nEnsure compliance with county, state, and OSHA policies and regulations.\n\nRequired Skills\n\n2+ years of experience as a construction project engineer.\n\nDegree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.\n\nSkills and Abilities\n\nUnderstand, interpret, and consistently apply safety laws and company policies/standards.\n\nApply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.\n\nBuild trust and achieve results with clients and company team members.\n\nRead drawings, interpret work specifications, and work scopes.\n\nDemonstrate solid attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.\n\nStrong work ethic to complete tasks as a team in a high‑quality manner.\n\nBenefits\nMcGraw Kokosing offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, company‑paid life, and disability insurance.
