Expeditor's main responsibility is to ensure timely delivery of customs and/or special orders. Maintains close communication with Supervisors and other departments and keeps system up to date with any changes. In addition, this position will be aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration and a safe work environment.\r\nScope of Job:\r\nAn Expeditor Apprentice plays a crucial role in ensuring that leather parts and patterns are available when needed to keep production pairs running smoothly and on schedule. The job covers supply coordination, inventory management, of leathers, and cross-departmental communication to prevent delays and maintain efficiency. As far for working in excel spread sheets to maintain records of production for boot pairs and Wip status and production progress.\r\nDuties & Responsibilities:\r\nReceives daily work orders from supervisor.\r\nEnters work order information in the system to search for operations in NetSuite.\r\nResponsible for taking work order request to corresponding department.\r\nMaintains and updates records of the status of work order.\r\nReply to emails for updates on a boot order for the stores.\r\nAct as liaison between internal departments and Production's Director on the status of stock, customs/special orders.\r\nAddress unexpected delays or issues that may arise in stock, the customs/special orders.\r\nMaintain and update records of the status of work orders.\r\nWork closely with other departments to ensure that all operations have the necessary resources to fulfill customs/special orders.\r\nMaintain communication with Make ups team on any last-minute changes to customs/special orders.\r\nWill be a team player and will work closely with a team of Expeditors.\r\nResponsible for overseeing certain number of customs/special orders.\r\nKeeps the working area clean and organized.\r\nResearch and locate old WIP in the production floor.\r\nWork and process Scrap when necessary.\r\nAssist other working areas as necessary.\r\nGeneral Responsibilities:\r\nMaintain clean and organized workstation.\r\nMeet departmental production targets and quality standards.\r\nSupport teamwork and assist other departments as needed.\r\nPerform additional duties assigned by Supervisor.\r\nSupport and comply with all company policies and safety procedures.\r\nQuality & Production Expectations:\r\nMaintain consistent output aligned with departmental productivity standards.\r\nMinimize rework by adhering to process specifications and visual inspection standards.\r\nDemonstrate flexibility to rotate stations without compromising efficiency or quality.\r\nRequired Skills & Abilities:\r\nExcellent visual acuity to inspect finished components for quality compliance.\r\nAbility to read and interpret work orders and production instructions.\r\nGood organizational and time-management skills.\r\nAbility to multitask and transition between operations efficiently.\r\nStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills.\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, production-driven manufacturing environment.\r\nEducation, Experience, and/or Certifications:\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required.\r\nMinimum of two (2) years of related experience in boot manufacturing, leather goods production, or similar industrial manufacturing environment required.\r\nBilingual preferred\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job but not limited to the following mentioned.
