In this role, you will create the connected experiences that make Disney an employer of choice and apply practical knowledge of technologies and concepts to software engineering projects, provide technical guidance and oversight, and act as a technical expert.\nWhat You Will Do:\nParticipate in large development projects comprised of multiple components, overseeing projects teams and being accountable for execution and delivery of a robust solution.\nDevelop highly innovative and large software solutions that meet specifications and significantly impact future developments.\nDesign components for major software development projects, developing specifications for each that are scalable solutions.\nInteract and coordinate deliverables with other technical groups in the organization.\nServe as a senior-level technical resource providing technical guidance and oversight.\nResponsible for performing testing and debugging applications.\nCode at a component level; code may be used in commercial and end-user applications or focus on software and tools supporting infrastructure and technology platforms.\nWork typically involves large or highly sophisticated software programs and systems.\nPossess a proven understanding of current programming language and technologies, with strong skills in writing code and completing programming tasks.\nInteract with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.\nConceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, improvements, and/or new systems and applications.\nBasic Qualifications & Skills:\n5+ years of related work experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable software systems and components\n3+ years of Maximo specific development experience\nExperience designing and developing both web and mobile applications, and Object-Oriented Analysis & Design\n3+ years of cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\nExperience designing and documenting inbound and outbound JSON based RESTful APIs and implementing such APIs within a security framework such as OAuth\n3+ years of Python, JavaScript and Java Development\nExcellent and deep understanding of design patterns and modern, highly scalable application development\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nProven ability to collaborate effectively within agile, cross-functional teams, including participation in daily scrum ceremonies\nExperience triaging production support issues, performing in-depth troubleshooting, and delivering timely fixes\nCommitment to high-quality engineering practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and maintaining technical documentation\nWillingness to mentor and guide other engineers on design principles, coding standards, and best practices\nAbility to recommend and implement improvements to processes, tools, and system interfaces to improve team effectiveness\nA mindset that encourages innovation, continuous learning, and improvement\nComfort working in a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and problem-solving skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Maximo Application Server (MAS) 8+\nIBM Maximo Administrator or Deployment Professional Certification\nTrack record on delivering quality projects on schedule\nAnalytics and Dashboard tooling including Tableau and Helix\nExposure to AI development tools (e.g. Github Copilot, Cursor, Claude, and Zed)\n3+ years of database programming including SQL Queries, Oracle Procedural Language PL/SQL and designing schema for Oracle 19c or higher database\n.NET development experience in C#.\nMaster’s degree in computer science or related; and/or related certification\nRequired Education:\nBachelor's or foreign equivalent Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience\n#DISNEYTECH\n\nThe hiring range for this position in Florida is $130,000-$160,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
