As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.\n\n2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.\n\nSCOPE: Move and store fabric as needed\n\nPPE: Hearing protection in high noise areas, safety belt when using cherry picker, seat belt on fork lift, other as needed to do an assignment safely\n\nTOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: motorized equipment, general office supplies, LXE gun, scissors, bagger, and conveyor belt\n\nREQUIRED PRODUCTION OUTPUT PER SHIFT: Keep up with production\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\n1. Safety:\n\nPerform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.\nReport all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.\nActively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.\n\n2. Attendance:\n\nMaintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.\n\n3. Work Ethics:\n\nMaintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.\nMeet deadlines and production quotas.\nGet along with co-workers.\nFollow instructions.\nWork scheduled overtime.\n\n4. Duties: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:\n\nMove fabric from Inspection to staging area for pick up by truck driver\nMaintain electronic records (LXE gun and computer) showing location of fabric.\nProperly identify fabric with appropriate labels and tickets, being sure all data matches.\nKeep work area clean. Maintain good housekeeping.\n\nOTHER JOB ELEMENTS:\n\nPerform other duties needed to do the job or as required by the supervisor.\n\nEDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB:\n\nBasic reading, writing, and math skills.
