This is not a traditional help desk role. This position sits at the intersection of CAD, PLM, and engineering workflows, focused on diagnosing system issues, improving system behavior, and enabling engineers to move faster with confidence.\n\nAs an Engineering System Support Engineer , you will be the frontline for engineering productivity - resolving issues, identifying systemic gaps, and driving continuous improvements across the NX and Teamcenter environment.\n\nResponsibilities\nNX / Teamcenter Support (Tier 2/3)\n\nResolve NX and Teamcenter issues impacting engineering workflows\n\nDebug assemblies, drawings, and modeling issues (and more)\n\nInvestigate Teamcenter data issues across Item, ItemRevision, Dataset, and BOM structures\n\nAnalyze system and client logs to identify root causes\n\nEngineering Workflow & Data Integrity\n\nTroubleshoot release workflows, approvals, and ownership issues\n\nResolve stuck or failed workflows and parallel process conflicts\n\nCorrect part creation, template usage, and data entry issues with engineering teams\n\nSystem Stability & Performance\n\nDiagnose client-side issues (cache, environment, SSO behavior)\n\nDifferentiate system defects from user/configuration issues\n\nSupport upgrades, patches, and environment changes\n\nMaintain stability during high-usage engineering cycles\n\nUser Enablement & Support Experience\n\nServe as primary support contact for NX and Teamcenter users\n\nProvide clear, actionable guidance to resolve and prevent issues\n\nDevelop SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base content\n\nImprove support processes (ticket quality, SLAs, escalation paths)\n\nContinuous Improvement\n\nIdentify recurring issues and drive root-cause fixes\n\nPartner with PLM and engineering teams to improve usability\n\nRecommend UX improvements (defaults, templates, workflow simplification)\n\nTransition manual fixes into standardized, system-enforced solutions\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nHands-on experience with Siemens NX (modeling, assemblies, drafting)\n\n2+ years working with Teamcenter data structures and workflows\n\nExperience troubleshooting PLM/CAD issues in production environments\n\nAbility to read and interpret NX and Teamcenter logs\n\nStrong understanding of engineering workflows and product structures\n\nAbility to distinguish user error from system/configuration issues\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience\n\nExperience with Active Workspace (AWC)\n\nFamiliarity with release workflows and access control models\n\nExposure to CAD standards, templates, and automation (Check-Mate or similar)\n\nExperience in aerospace or complex manufacturing environments\n\nUnderstanding of PLM integrations with downstream\n\nSalary\n$117,300 - $158,700 a year\n\nThe salary information provided is a general guideline only.
