Reporting to the Senior EHS Manager, the Technician executes the transactional, administrative, and recordkeeping work behind both sites' EHS programs: data entry and reporting, PPE administration, sustainability reporting inputs, and system-of-record maintenance, within established procedures and priorities. The role interfaces directly with employees daily, including PPE coordination, communication board updates, and outgoing-shift follow‑up. Regular, proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. The EHS Technician is an hourly, non‑exempt position based at Carrollton Cable, supporting EHS programs at both Carrollton Cable and Connectivity on an early day shift.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n\nAdvanced Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, and analyzing exported data, plus strong Word and PowerPoint proficiency.\n\nStrong attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication.\n\nTeam player, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nStrong advocate for Environmental, Safety, Health, and Wellness.\n\nADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications, certifications, and/or licenses)\n\n2-year technical degree, certification, or bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety, or a related field.\n\nExperience with integrated management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001).\n\nEHS internship experience.\n\nOSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour General Industry certification.\n\nNREP Associate Environmental Professional (AEP) or Federal OSHA Structure Standards certification.\n\nESG/sustainability internship experience.\n\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSafety Systems & Reporting\n\nManage user access and support day‑to‑day use of the site’s compliance software (currently Mitti, formerly SafetyCulture).\n\nManipulate data exported from reporting systems in Excel, filtering, organizing, and formatting already‑classified data, to support reporting for both Carrollton Cable and Connectivity.\n\nEnter data for recurring monthly corporate and regional safety reporting.\n\nBuild the first draft of the monthly EHS results deck for Cable and Connectivity using the established template, updating data, charts, and recurring category slides from source reports.\n\nMaintain incident documentation and track action items to closure.\n\nPPE Program\n\nCoordinate safety shoe and prescription safety glasses vouchers, appointments, and vendor scheduling. This is the PPE Program's main hands‑on coordination work. General PPE is vendor‑managed through an onsite vending machine and requires minimal ongoing administration.\n\nRestock visitor PPE and supplies at the Security gate as needed.\n\nStart the shift early enough to catch the outgoing night crew for same‑day administrative follow‑up, for example, PPE status, voucher issuance, or onsite prescription safety glasses appointments.\n\nEnvironmental Compliance\n\nMaintain and update the site’s hazardous waste manifest tracking workbook, logging manifest and weekly generation data and monitoring SQG threshold status.\n\nCoordinate scheduled waste disposal and recycling pickups with contracted vendors.\n\nSupport SPCC and SWPPP compliance as a member of the Pollution Prevention Team: verify interior and exterior control implementation and support third‑party consultants during routine inspections and sampling visits.\n\nEnter Scope 1, 2, and 3 data into the designated sustainability reporting system, following the current data collection process and any successor process as systems change.\n\nMaintain the chemical inventory database and support accessibility to safety data sheets for site personnel.\n\nTraining & Orientation\n\nCoordinate contractor and visitor orientation scheduling and logistics.\n\nAdminister training records and the training schedule.\n\nAdministrative & Scheduling\n\nUpdate communication boards at both Carrollton Cable and Connectivity with current safety and campaign materials.\n\nProcess purchase requisitions and contracted service agreements in the site’s procurement system (currently SAP), from order through payment, coordinating with vendors, Purchasing, and Accounting; and track departmental invoices and work orders.\n\nTrack and update the EHS compliance calendar (currently the site’s EHS Master Compliance Calendar workbook).\n\nCoordinate compliance and program scheduling for Connectivity, tracking due dates and scheduling activities under the Connectivity Safety and Health Management Plan and applicable compliance calendar items.\n\nCoordinate EHS meeting scheduling, materials, and logistics.\n\nComplete additional duties as assigned by the Senior EHS Manager.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and PowerPoint, at an intermediate level; advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis, are critical to this role.\n\nAbility to learn and use data‑entry and reporting systems accurately and consistently; comfortable adapting to new platforms as tools change.\n\nWilling to learn the site's EHS‑specific tools and technology as part of the role.\n\nMust be able to learn to use SAP to process purchase requisitions, orders, and payments for goods and services.\n\nEffective communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nAbility to manage multiple recurring tasks and deadlines across environmental, safety, and reporting functions.\n\nStrong attention to detail in recordkeeping and compliance documentation.\n\nMaintains professional conduct and discretion;
