Grain Facility Operations II
Position Summary:The Grain Facility Operations II position is responsible for supporting day-to-day grain facility operations, including weighing inbound and outbound trucks, grading grain, assisting with grain handling and storage, and maintaining equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of agricultural commodities.What You’ll Do:Operate scale system to accurately weigh inbound and outbound grain trucksEnter and verify ticket data including customer information, commodity type, weights, and moisture contentCommunicate clearly with truck drivers regarding procedures and facility instructionsMaintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standardsAssist with receiving, drying, storing, and loading grainMonitor grain quality including moisture, test weight, and condition; perform basic grading proceduresOperate grain handling equipment such as conveyors, augers, dryers, and storage binsAssist with general facility maintenance and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environmentLoad trucks and rail/barge shipments as directed and according to specificationsSafety & ComplianceFollow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirementsReport safety hazards, equipment issues, or quality concerns immediately to supervisorsProperly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesParticipate in required safety training and compliance programsWhat We’re Looking For:High school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience in agriculture, grain handling, or industrial operations preferred (not required)Basic computer and data entry skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in dusty environments and extreme weather conditionsAbility to climb stairs or ladders multiple times throughout the workdayWillingness to work extended hours during harvest and peak seasons, including weekendsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsWhat We Offer:Competitive pay based on experienceSeasonal and year-round stability depending on role assignmentFull benefits package including medical, dental, and visionCompany-paid Short-Term Disability (STD) and Basic Life InsuranceOptional supplemental insurance coverage available401(k) with company-paid 3% Safe Harbor contributionPaid time off and holidays (where applicable)Safety-focused team environment with structured training and supportWork Environment:Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditionsExposure to dust, grain, noise, and industrial equipmentSeasonal workload fluctuations with potential overtime during peak harvest periodsRequires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting
