As a Sr. Software Engineer - Data, you will work with customers and internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and help them achieve outcomes with your solutions and guidance. You will research all data sources concerning business operations and be responsible for outlining designs to integrate, centralize, and maintain the data. You will help to establish a new data engineering practice and be a technical leader within the Product organization.\r\nRole Description\r\nHelp to drive our organizational data strategy, including data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems\r\nShare expertise by collaborating and coaching team members through code and design reviews to ensure code integration into systems is up to team standards\r\nSet a positive example for the team by consistently shipping high quality solutions and maintaining a high standard of technical excellence\r\nCoordinate and collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and customers for smooth functioning of data systems\r\nExtend and support a dataengineering environment with a focus on developer experience that facilitates maximum efficiency, testing, and integration\r\nMake recommendations for continuous improvement of our existing data and ETL processes\r\nParticipate in optimizing our end-to-end data architecture, from selection of technology, design, development, security, and testing of applications\r\nLead in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, architecture diagrams and visualizations for development teams and internal stakeholders\r\nReview best practices around data architecture with internal team members\r\nKey Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree or relevant work experience\r\nMinimum 10 years' experience developing data applications, relational databases, and ETL platforms\r\nPrevious Experience building highly available and testable ETL systems that support critical business operations\r\nExpert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing\r\nExpert knowledge of SQL scripting\r\nDemonstrates excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills\r\nAbility to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences\r\nAbility to shift priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities\r\nStrong ability to work independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment\r\nAbility to take initiative and prioritize tasks\r\nExcellent time-management skills\r\nStrong problem prevention, and problem-solving skills\r\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks\r\nPreferred Skills\r\nComputer science education or equivalent experience\r\nHands-on experience with Databricks\r\nHands-on experience with PowerBI report development\r\nHands-on experience and knowledge of the Python programming language\r\nExperience processing and reporting against large amounts of financial data in a scalable fashion\r\nPublic cloud expertise and/or certifications - Azure, AWS, GCP\r\nHands-on experience with DevOps methodologies and concepts including CI/CD, IaC and automated testing\r\nThe estimated annual pay range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
