Data Engineer

About the CompanyWe are seeking motivated and technically strong Data Engineers to support mission-critical programs within the U.S. Department of Defense environment. This role focuses on building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data solutions using modern data engineering practices and Palantir technologies, including Foundry and Gaia.About the RoleCandidates with direct Palantir experience are highly preferred; however, strong Data Engineers with solid Python development experience and exposure to modern data platforms will also be considered.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflowsSupport data integration, transformation, and analytics initiatives across large-scale environmentsWork within Palantir Foundry and related Palantir ecosystem toolsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering, analytics, and mission teamsBuild scalable data solutions using Python and cloud-native technologiesEnsure data quality, governance, and security compliance standards are metTroubleshoot and resolve data processing and performance issuesDocument technical processes, workflows, and architectures Qualifications2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fieldStrong Python development skillsExperience with SQL and relational/non-relational databasesUnderstanding of ETL pipelines and data architecture conceptsExperience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed systemsAbility to work in secure government environmentsActive Secret Clearance required Required SkillsExperience with Palantir Foundry, Gaia, Apollo, or related Palantir toolsExperience supporting Department of Defense or federal programsExposure to Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or DatabricksTS/SCI Clearance Preferred SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
