This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who brings cloud architecture expertise, strong UX and data visualization experience, and the ability to mentor and guide less senior engineers as the team matures.\n\nYou will play a key role in developing and supporting advanced data visualization capabilities while collaborating closely with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high-impact solutions.\nYou Will Excel in This Role If You:\nEnjoy working in early-stage, ambiguous environments\nAre comfortable defining architecture and technical direction\nHave a strong mix of cloud, UX, and backend engineering experience\nEnjoy mentoring and helping teams grow\nCan balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities\nA Day in the Life Of:\nDesigning and implementing data visualization toolkits and frameworks\nSupporting configuration, deployment, and operational use of visualization platforms\nDeveloping innovative visualization solutions for complex, multi-dimensional data\nCollaborating with users and stakeholders to understand requirements and refine designs\nApplying cloud architecture best practices to scalable software solutions\nDeveloping and maintaining web-based server applications\nImplementing algorithms that interface with relational databases\nExploring and applying novel and non-traditional visualization techniques\nMentoring engineers and providing technical guidance\nContributing to agile development processes and team workflows\nMust Have:\nActive TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment (4 additional years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree)\nExperience developing software using Python or Java\nExperience creating complex, multi-dimensional data visualizations\nExperience with dynamic visualization techniques including drill-down, time-shifting, and cascading views\nExperience with data modeling and normalization of metrics\nExperience developing and maintaining web-based server applications\nExperience implementing algorithms that interface with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL\nExperience creating static presentations and static web pages\nExperience leading or mentoring small cross-functional technical teams\nKnowledge of agile software development methodologies\nNice to Have:\nExperience serving in a cloud architect or technical lead role\nExperience designing user-focused or UX-driven visualization solutions\nExperience working in early-phase or forming project teams\nExperience supporting data visualization for network or system data\nAbility to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, collaborative environments\nClearEdge is an established small business that values its employees and is committed to providing an environment where individuals can succeed and grow.
