Coverage Needed Start Date: As soon as credentialed End Date: Ongoing for 6 months Schedule: 24-hour in-house hospital call (6-8 calls per month) from 7:30a-7:30a Clinical Details Setting: Inpatient Deliveries: Approximately 2.2/day(60-65/month), with 25-30% C-section rate EMR: Cerner NICU Level: III Specialist Collaboration: Strong partnerships with community perinatologists/neonatologists Patient Demographics: Mostly low-risk, underserved populations Facility runs an OB ED, and the OB Hospitalist is expected to provide coverage as part of the role Required Procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections (assist required), No abortions or postpartum tubal ligations (except during C-sections) Pitocin Monitoring: Required to monitor the patient if on pitocin C-Section team: Provider must assist OB Hospitalist are required to be in the hospital during the entire shift Expectation for the provider to assist with GYN surgeries; any urgent OBGYN case Requirements Board Certified (Highly Preferred) or will accept Truly Board Eligible CA State License ACGME Accredited Residency DEA, BLS, ACLS Clean Malpractice Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days Non-issued files/licenses only Recent/current laborist experience Local candidates preferred Bilingual providers - Strongly Preferred Must be available for July
