They routinely mow lawns, weed, plant flowers, plow snow, and remove debris to ensure community grounds are clean, well maintained, and visually presentable. They also support a positive resident experience by delivering courteous, responsive customer service\nJob Duties\nEnsures community is presentable at all times and adheres to Sun's curb appeal standards (Essential)\nMaintains community vehicle and equipment (Essential)\nPicks up trash/debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empties common area trash containers as needed (Essential)\nInspects irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repairs as needed (Essential)\nRegularly treats weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/wood chips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut down and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions. Performs other lawn care services as needed (Essential)\nIf applicable, maintains community pool(s) by testing chemical levels and adjusting appropriately\nFollows safety procedures while performing duties\nReports all community maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties, to the manager\nOther duties and special projects as assigned\nRequirements\nHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)\n6 months in previous groundskeeping experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry (Preferred)\n6 months in demonstrated knowledge and experience in general grounds maintenance techniques (Required)\nAbility to endure fluctuations in temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work\nAbility to respond to business needs after normal business hours.\nAbility to work an on-call schedule\nBasic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet\nMust have a valid driver's license\nAbility to work well independently as well as on a team\nProficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery\n\nBENEFITS\n\nAt Sun Communities, you will be part of an industry-leading organization where you will be challenged, inspired, rewarded and transformed.
