In this role, you will handle claims involving third-party liability, specifically in commercial trucking and business policies, working to resolve them efficiently while ensuring fair settlements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Key Responsibilities:Investigate, evaluate, and resolve third-party claims including bodily injury, property damage, and liability claims including ones in litigation for commercial trucking and business policiesGather and review all relevant documentation including statements, police reports, medical reports, and legal documentsHandle claims in-house and oversee claims managed by TPA (Third-Party Administrator)Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other involved partiesDetermine coverage, injury evaluation, liability, and the appropriate settlement amount, ensuring claims are processed in accordance with policy terms and regulatory guidelinesCommunicate with claimants, attorneys, and other third parties to resolve claims promptly and fairlyPrepare detailed reports outlining claim statuses, investigation results, and settlement recommendationsNegotiate settlements in line with company policies and best practicesMaintain accurate and detailed claim records in the claims management systemStay updated on state laws, industry trends, and changes in insurance regulationsCollaborate with legal teams and other departments when necessaryAttend mediations or trials as neededQualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience as a 3rd Party Claims Adjuster, with experience handling bodily injury and property damage claimsStrong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and third-party liability claims processesExcellent negotiation, investigation, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex claims clearlyAbility to manage a high volume of claims and prioritize tasks effectivelyProficiency MS Office/Google Workspace applicationsFamiliarity with state-specific insurance regulations and legal processesExperience in handling complex or high-value claimsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferredExperience working with attorneys, mediators, or in a litigation environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefitsMedical (PPO), dental (PPO), vision (PPO), and life insurance covered 100% by the company and 50% for dependentsPaid time off and sick leave13 annual paid holidays401(k) plan with up to 4% company matchFlexible Spending Account (FSA) & Dependent Care FSAQuarterly Fringe Benefit reimbursementsJob-related training reimbursementCasual dress codeAbout UsAt DB Insurance USA, we carry forward a legacy of excellence that began in South Korea in 1962 and expanded to the U.S. in 1984.
