Our major customers include leading defense contractors such as Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and The United States Government.\nFEC has aggressive plans for continued growth as a world class leader in custom cable manufacturing and therefore has an immediate need for an experienced Final Inspector in the Quality Control Department.\nThe Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting cable and wire products to ensure they meet all quality standards, specifications, and regulations. This includes performing visual inspections, and dimensional measurements. The QC Inspector must also be able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.\nThe Quality Control Inspector is a respectful team-player that works well with diverse internal team members. This position is ambitious, self-motivated, results-driven, and demonstrates problem solving skills with sound judgment. This role is also responsive, flexible, accessible, detail oriented, willing to embrace change and proactively adjust plans. Partnering with and elevating others by communicating with peers to increase awareness and ensure team success.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nInspect materials, components, and final product to ensure they meet quality standards.\nPerform visual inspections of cable and wire products to identify defects.\nMeasure dimensions of cable and wire products to ensure they meet specifications.\nDocument the results of all inspections and tests.\nDetect and report unusual or non-conforming documentation, materials, conditions, or product to Quality Manager.\nWork with various internal personnel and departments to communicate and resolve quality issues.\nCreate, update, compile, save and maintain documentation into internal database.\nWhen required, help with continuous improvement efforts.\nComply with company policies and quality management system.\nMaintain and create a clean, uncluttered environment that reduces waste and optimizes productivity by following the 5S steps: sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain.\nMore additional responsibilities may be applicable per the Quality Manager.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n1+ year of experience in quality control, preferably in the cable and wire manufacturing industry.\nExperience with visual inspection and dimensional measurement.\nBasic understanding of Microsoft Office and Adobe.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong communication skills.\nPhysical Qualifications:\nThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
