This position supports the multidisciplinary evaluation process by administering standardized academic assessments, interpreting results, writing evaluation reports, and collaborating with educational teams to develop appropriate interventions and services for students with disabilities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdminister and score standardized academic achievement assessments.Conduct academic assessments for initial referrals, reevaluations, and independent educational evaluations (IEEs).Participate in eligibility determination meetings, IEP meetings, REDs (Review of Existing Data), and multidisciplinary team discussions.Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, parents, administrators, and related service providers.Review educational records, intervention data, progress monitoring, and classroom performance information.Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant special education records and documentation.Ensure academic assessments are administered according to standardized procedures and ethical guidelines.Provide recommendations for instructional strategies, accommodations, modifications, and interventions.Assist with compliance related to IDEA, state special education regulations, and district policies.Maintain current knowledge of academic assessment practices, special education law, and evaluation procedures.Support district in meeting evaluation timelines and compliance requirements.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education and/or Education.Valid state certification/licensure appropriate for conducting academic evaluations.Training and experience in administering and interpreting academic assessments.Knowledge of IDEA, FERPA, and state special education regulations.Strong written, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.Experience with special education compliance systems and documentation preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of academic assessment tools.Ability to analyze educational performance and learning needs.Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Effective communication skills with staff, parents, and community members.Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
