Value for our customers.\nWhat you'll do:\nDesign, administer, and optimize databases in on-premises and cloud environments.\nPerform database performance tuning, backups, replication, and recovery.\nEnforce access controls, auditing, governance, and retention policies.\nManage schemas, indexes, stored procedures, and permissions.\nManage Kubernetes clusters and support containerized database and application operations.\nAdminister CI/CD pipelines and automation supporting database and application delivery.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and collaborative delivery activities.\nSupport production operations with urgency and operational discipline.\nCommunicate technical risks, issues, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.\nBuild and maintain strong customer trust through technical expertise, responsiveness, and reliability.\nWhat you'll need to succeed:\nActive Top Secret security clearance (current or previously held SCI access preferable).\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute.\nCertification meeting DoD 8140 (e.g., Security+, GSEC, or higher).\n5+ years of experience as a database administrator or engineer with a primary focus on PostgreSQL.\nExperience designing, implementing, managing, and tuning PostgreSQL databases in enterprise environments.\nExperience owning high availability and disaster recovery configurations for PostgreSQL environments.\nExperience enforcing database security controls, including encryption, key management, and compliance-aligned auditing.\nAbility to own core PostgreSQL responsibilities on day one and ramp quickly on program-specific tooling in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.\nThis position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.\nSALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $175,000\nThe salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
