At GOCO Consulting, we are passionate about empowering communities and driving meaningful change through grassroots political engagement. We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our canvassing team to help us connect with voters and promote important causes.
Position Overview: As a Political Canvasser, you will be going door-to-door engaging directly with the public to discuss key issues, gather valuable feedback, and encourage voter participation. This role is vital in building support and mobilizing voters for upcoming elections and advocacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods to engage with residents.
Share information about candidates, policies, and campaign goals.
Collect and record data from interactions to inform campaign strategy.
Address questions and concerns from community members professionally and accurately.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, representing the campaign effectively.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for political issues and community engagement.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable with engaging in conversations with diverse groups of people.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Previous canvassing or political campaign experience is a plus, but not required.

Excellent communication skills required, because you will be interacting with voters!
Must be able to follow procedures, track information, and have a professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance.
Dress code: Professional but still comfortable - Collared shirt or polo, casual pants or jeans, and comfortable walking shoes.
Paid training.

Details about the job itself and what to expect:
An average working week is from Wednesday to Sunday 10:00am to 6:30pm with a half hour lunch at 2:00pm to 2:30pm. Monday and Tuesday are generally our 'off days' unless forecasted weather will impact the week in which case we might work Monday/Tuesday.
Cell phones and all materials needed to do the job are provided as well as paid training. Full-time (40 hours a week) workers are preferred, but we are more than happy to work out a flexible schedule that works around your availability if you need to be part time. We often hire students and parents that require a flexible schedule so please don't hesitate to apply!
