This highly organized and detail-oriented individual is the glue that keeps fundraising operations running smoothly and efficiently.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have skills in database administration, event planningexecution, and relationship management. The position is based in Tulsa, OK.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDUTIES\n\nDonor DatabaseStewardship\n\nMaintain accurate donor, prospect, sponsor, and contact records and generate reports and mailing lists.\nProcess and record donations, pledges, recurring gifts, memorials, tributes, acknowledgements, and tax receipts.\nProcess, coordinate, track, and acknowledge all in-kind donations.\nSupport donor stewardship through thank-you communications, donor recognition, impact updates, and other engagement activities.\nMaintain confidentiality and accuracy of donor and financial information.\n\nFundraising, EventsGrant Research and Execution\n\nSupport fundraising campaigns, initiatives, and off-site fund and supply drives.\nCoordinate logistics, materials, registration, communications, and follow-up for fundraising and third-party events.\nAssist with sponsorships, donor recognition, guest lists, and event materials.\nMaintain the grants calendar, including application, reporting, and renewal deadlines.\nResearch foundation, corporate, and community grant opportunities in coordination with the Director of Development.\nAssist with grant applications, supporting documentation, submissions, and reports; maintain grant files and track awards and reporting requirements.\nAssist with donor, prospect, and funder research and follow-up.\n\nDevelopment AdministrationSupport\n\nMaintain organized development records and files.\nAssist with fundraising calendars, mailings, campaigns, reports, and department projects.\nPrepare correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, and other development materials.\nCoordinate with Finance to ensure donations and fundraising activities are accurately documented and reconciled.\nProvide administrative support to the Director of Development.\nRepresent the Tulsa SPCA professionally with donors, sponsors, businesses, foundations, volunteers, and community partners.\nPerform other development-related duties as assigned.\n\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\n\nEducation/Experience\n\nCollege Degree or Equivalent (2 year minimum, prefer Bachelors Degree).\n1-3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, event planning, nonprofit administration, or a related field.\nFamiliarity with donor database software (experience with Bloomerang a plus).\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nStrong interpersonal and customer service skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAvailable to work varied shifts and extended hours as required.\nFlexible and adaptable to fast paced environments and stressful situations.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.\nPassion for animal welfare and alignment with our mission.\nRespect for animals.\n\nPhysical Environment\n\nPrimarily an office setting when not working offsite events or assisting with special projects.\nExposure to odors, wet, humid, and dusty conditions, airborne particles, fur, hair, animal waste, and various cleaning chemicals and supplies.\nMay be exposed to sick, injured, and aggressive animals.\nAbility to bend, walk, reach, push, pull, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.\nTravel to area events/locations in year-round weather conditions.\nNoise level is moderate to high.\nPossibility of being bitten or scratched by animals.\nMust be able to lift up to 50lbs – loading and unloading for events, bags of dog/cat food for in-kind room, etc.\n\nSCHEDULE\n\nFT position, schedule can vary. Weekends, evenings, and holidays will be required at times.\n\nThis job classification has been designated as a safety sensitive job classification in accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, 63 O.S., § 427.1 et seq., (OSCN 2019), effective August 29, 2019.
