Learn more, visit www.reisystems.com.\n\nREI Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nResponsibilities:\nDesign & Development\nMaintain CI/CD software delivery pipelines & tools for an enterprise scale system with a large developer base\nMaintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) code artifacts\nMaintain container-based application solutions\nWrite and run ad-hoc scripts (using Bash, Python etc.) to automate DevOps processes\nParticipate in creating long-term and short-term strategies for scaling cloud environments\nWork with development teams to troubleshoot specific issues by recreating tests, validating configuration, etc.\nProvide deployment support by deploying applications and microservices in cloud environments\nAdvance DevOps processes and technologies using emerging technologies and cloud native tools\n\nOperations\nMaintain, monitor, and help improve the performance and availability of the 24x7 production environment including networks, servers, databases, etc.\nAdminister network monitoring system, alerting, log management, and other IT systems\nParticipate in on-call rotation and provide hands-on support during emergencies, outages, and service transitions\nManage operational maintenance such as OS patches, security vulnerabilities etc. to ensure healthy status of various prod and non-prod environments\nImprove system visibility and applications with advanced monitoring, metrics and log analytics\nAnalyze and identify root causes on critical problems, incident reports and communication\nAdhere to a comprehensive incident management program including problem management. Generate KPIs for service availability, uptime, and adherence to SOPs, and SLAs.\nQualifications:\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field\n3+ years of strong, hands-on relevant experience\nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially with Jenkins using Groovy\nHands-on experience with container-based technologies, especially Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, OpenShift\nHands-on experience with AWS managed services (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS), including monitoring and analytics tools such as AWS CloudWatch, NewRelic\nFamiliarity with configuration management using Chef, Puppet or equivalent\nExpert scripting skills (Bash, Perl, Python)\nSolid understanding of microservice concepts\nExperience with code management systems (Git, Subversion)\nExperience maintaining Java/Node web applications (Spring Boot, React)\nKeen communication and teamwork abilities\nEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree\n\nCLEARANCE: US citizenship required in order to obtain a US government Public Trust clearance\n\nLocation/Remote: Hybrid, candidate must be local to DC Metro.\n\nCovid Policy Disclosure: Should the essential functions of this position require that the employee performing this role work on-site at REI’s Sterling location the following requirements will apply: the individual holding this position must be fully vaccinated, as defined in CDC guidance, as a condition of continued employment.
