Performs detailed testing, analysis, debugging and performance improvements on new and existing programs. Receives technical assignments and guidance from IT Applications Manager and senior development staff.\r\nEssential Duties And Responsibilities\r\nWrites new programs/modifies existing programs to meet the business requirements.\r\nExtracts and manipulates data in different formats. Validates the extract/manipulated data. Provides requested data to business units, actuaries, and vendors in a timely manner.\r\nMaintains and manages data files imports and exports and the related IT operation processes, including the automation of file transfer.\r\nPrepares standard and ad hoc reports to meet business needs. Automates the report generation processes.\r\nPerforms data extracts supporting mailings and data analysis as required by business units and vendors.\r\nPrepares technical documentation to describe all program development, logic, coding, and corrections.\r\nMinimum Job Requirements\r\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 2 years of related experience.\r\nKnowledge, Skills And Abilities Requirements\r\nKnowledge of Postgres database, PL/pgSQL best practices.\r\nDevelopment experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL\r\nExperience with AWS cloud resources (such as S3).\r\nExperience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as DBeaver.\r\nExperience with text editor (such as Ultraedit).\r\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access database).\r\nKnowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and operational support of production applications.\r\nFunctional knowledge of Taft-Hartley business processes (such as Eligibility, Claims, and Pension) a plus.\r\nThis opportunity begins as a 6-month contract position, with the possibility of extension to one year and the potential to transition into a permanent role.
