Take ownership of your projects and bring efficiency to every survey you lead.About the RoleBohler, in Southern CT, is seeking a Crew Chief to lead all phases of field surveying. In this role, you'll coordinate field operations, manage data collection, and ensure the accuracy and quality of every survey. You'll collaborate closely with project teams and clients to deliver results that drive development forward, from concept to construction.What You'll DoLead a robotic one-man survey crew and manage all aspects of field work, including boundary, topographic, construction layout, and as-built surveysUtilize robotic Trimble total stations and GPS with Trimble Data Collectors to complete precise measurementsPerform field calculations and sketching; download and compile field data, checking for completeness and accuracyManage quality control for all survey documents, including field notes, sketches, and plansMaintain and perform minor preventative maintenance on field equipment and vehiclesOversee corporate credit card, mileage reimbursements, and related reportingPerform surveys independently to meet project deadlinesComply with all company policies, safety procedures, and standardsWhat We Offer Leadership opportunities managing your own field crew and projectsAccess to state-of-the-art Trimble robotic total stations and GPS equipmentA clear career path with opportunities for professional development and growth aligned with your individual goalsStrong project pipeline providing steady, reliable workEmpowering culture that values initiative, accountability, and continuous learningWhat You'll Bring High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience; college coursework in surveying, math, or related field preferred3+ years of field experience using robotic total stations and data collectorsExperience with Trimble equipment and software preferredStrong math, computer, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work outdoors for extended periods in varied terrain and weather conditionsPhysical ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredWillingness to travel, work overtime, and stay overnight as neededSelf-motivated with strong leadership, organization, and communication skillsLead the crew that turns data into direction.
