This position will be located in one of the following locations: San Diego, CA / Palmdale, CA / El Segundo, CA / or Redondo Beach, CA.\n\nThe qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Software Engineering directorate.\n\nThe selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other developers.\n\nAs an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of engineering specializations that may include:\n\nConstruct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.\n\nWork from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.\n\nOperate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.\n\nPerform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.\n\nPrepare prescribed compounds and solutions.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nA candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:\n\nBe enrolled in an Associates or 4 year degree AND graduating after August 2027.\n\nBe majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar STEM degree.\n\nBe available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.\n\nBe able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nHave an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.\n\nPrevious internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)\n\nIntern Pay Range\n\nUndergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $21.50 to $39.00 per hour\n\nMaster’s: $30.50 to $48.00 per hour\n\nAt Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
