The Engineer will interact daily with crews, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the team has accurate information and resources for success.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nMaintain project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization.\n\nCreate and maintain internal project schedules.\n\nPrepare accurate and timely submittals based on drawings, specifications, and vendor information.\n\nTrack approved submittals from architects or engineers and coordinate with the project team.\n\nAssist PM and other Project Engineers with backup for change requests.\n\nComplete required project close‑out documents per contract.\n\nUpdate and distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions.\n\nSchedule all required construction meetings with the ACI team and subcontractors, vendors, and customers.\n\nAttend pre‑bid, project, and close‑out meetings.\n\nSolicit subcontractor and supplier proposals prior to submission deadlines.\n\nPrepare correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.\n\nSubmit building permit applications, follow‑up on review progress, and receive approvals.\n\nAssist PM to achieve quality, schedule, budget, and safety.\n\nUtilize and maintain tools: schedules and documents management to track and record project performance.\n\nDocument quality and progress of each subcontractor and supplier and notify of any changes to plans, specifications, and/or schedule.\n\nInform management of productivity, costs, quality control, document management, and processing of payment applications.\n\nNotify management of any issues that arise affecting quality, budget, progress, and safety.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nRequired\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience in a commercial construction environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nApply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance.\n\nSuperior communication and interpersonal skills essential to this role.\n\nMulti‑task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, demonstrate attention to detail, and problem‑solve.\n\nAdhere to all company policy and procedures.\n\nAvailable to work assigned schedules.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nStandard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets, fax machines).\n\nTravel\n\nMay require infrequent travel (typically not overnight).\n\nPreferred\n\nExperience as a Project Engineer on heavy commercial construction projects.\n\nMS Project or other scheduling software tools.\n\n3D modeling experience (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks).\n\nPDF editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe).\n\nFamiliarity with cloud‑based PM software.\n\nPrior military experience.\n\nVisit us at www.acibuilds.com for more information!
