The work that is performed may be indoors to maintain the interior of the community, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a mixture of both.\n\nThe Groundskeeper provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nMay need to use an electric or gas blower to blow off decks, walkways, or debris. PPE’s must be utilized.\nMust pick up trash from around property that is visual as well as trash that may collect under the base of hedges and plants.\nAssist as needed with emergency clean up after storms (including wind events).\nMaintain cleanliness of assigned areas and good working condition of assigned equipment.\nMinor touch up of painting of walls, doorways, and curbs.\nPressure wash walkways, buildings and other property using power washing equipment. PPE’s must be utilized.\nWill need to properly complete and utilize a checklist to complete daily work orders assigned provided by Property Manager, Lead, or Direct Supervisor.\nReport areas of concern including dry turf or dead plants throughout property.\nEnsures all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing duties in accordance with safety guidelines.\nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalency preferred.\nOSHA Certification a plus\nBasic knowledge and understanding of irrigation, pest control, and landscaping.\nKnowledge and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) required\n\nSkills and Abilities\n\nOperate mechanical and electrical machinery/equipment (i.e. blowers, power washer, etc.)\nStrong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to help create effective customer-focused relationships with all levels within the organization.\nAble to work under tight deadlines, use time effectively based on key priorities, and understand directives given.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nExcellent interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality\nCommunicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of spoken and written.\nBasic command of computer hardware/software is required\nPosition may require a valid Driver’s License.\n\nPhysical requirements\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
