{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"fa8b3b92f004c0aadcec4750","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fa8b3b92f004c0aadcec4750","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fa8b3b92f004c0aadcec4750","title":"Engineer","description":"Description:\n\nJob purpose\n\nThe Structural Engineer is responsible for the design and analysis of various structures, working closely with clients and other members of the engineering team to deliver exceptional results.\n\nDuties and responsibilities\n\nDesign and analyze structural components and systems for buildings, bridges, and other structures.\nConduct site inspections and assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with codes.\nEvaluate the strength, stability, and rigidity of structures using engineering principles and methods.\nPrepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects, collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop structural designs.\nUse computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools for structural analysis and modeling.\nEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.\nAdditional Duties as assigned.\nDuties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added, at any time with or without advanced notice.\nLead structural design from concept through construction administration, including system selection and design optimization.\nPerform structural calculations, load path analysis, and develop supporting engineering documentation for permitting and review.\nParticipate in value engineering efforts to improve constructability, efficiency, and cost performance.\nReview and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field change requests during construction.\nCoordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors to ensure interdisciplinary alignment.\nConduct structural assessments of existing buildings for renovation, adaptive reuse, or retrofit projects.\nProvide structural solutions for complex framing conditions, specialty systems, and prefabricated components.\nMentor junior engineers and drafters; review work for technical accuracy and quality control.\nSupport proposal development, scope definition, budgeting, and client presentations.\nMaintain project schedules, manage deadlines, and monitor project profitability.\nPrepare engineering reports for due diligence, condition assessments, and forensic evaluations when required.\nServe as Engineer of Record where applicable and seal/sign documents in accordance with licensure requirements.\nStay current with evolving codes, materials, and industry best practices through continuing education.\n\nWorking conditions\n\nThe worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.\nThe worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.\nThe worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.\n\nDirect reports\n\nThe Structural Engineer has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nRequirements:\n\nSkills and Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in structural engineering or related field.\nProfessional Engineering (PE) License required.\n2+ years of experience in structural engineering or related field.\nExperience with advanced structural analysis software and tools.\nProven experience in managing large-scale projects.\nStructural Engineering (SE) Exam Certification preferred.\n\nPhysical requirements\n\nSedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
