The ideal candidate will have experience operating various machinery and a strong understanding of precision measuring instruments. Machine Operator operates equipment and ancillary equipment in the factory.\nThe Operator will perform various jobs associated with manufacturing such as packing, taping, stapling, welding, inspecting and other various jobs as deemed necessary by management.\nThis is a fast-paced, production-heavy position. The department relies on teamwork and requires someone who can and will contribute in a wide range of functions. The operator is responsible for effectively producing the parts that are used to make cans.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nArrange machine at the beginning of shift to ensure that the line is in order\nSet up machines with needed materials. Load and unload materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids or conveyors\nInspect and pack manufactured products in an efficient manner with regards to quality standards\nPerform basic manufacturing processes by operating contingent line equipment such as tapers, printers, strappers and cover ups\nMeet customer requirements by following work instructions including work orders, specification sheets, and production reporting\nIndependently operate manufacturing equipment in an efficient and safe manner while meeting required quality standards\nIdentify and correct manufacturing issues which effect production efficiency and quality\nPerform minor maintenance including greasing and oiling\nRecognize problems and recommend corrective actions to mechanics\nComply with GMP and AIB procedures\nFollow Company personnel and product safety requirements including standards such as those from SQF and internal GMPs\nFollow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with State and Federal laws\nOther duties as assigned\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
