Environmental Intern

Arcosa, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern in our Dallas headquarters to support our Corporate Environmental team across multiple business units. As a summer Environmental Intern, you will gain experience in environmental compliance within a multi-industry organization over a 5-10 week period. The intern will also gain exposure to water, waste, and air regulatory programs and assist with compliance activities across various sites.Arcosa, Inc. The company has businesses with leading positions in construction, energy, and transportation markets with annual revenues nearing $2B.Position ResponsibilitiesCompile & organize environmental data and records for applicable regulatory reportsAssist in preparing compliance documentationSupport tracking and maintenance of environmental permits and compliance calendarsAssist with implementation of environmental initiatives and best practicesReview environmental compliance documents and proceduresAssist in developing and implementing BMPs to programsConduct site visits to support environmental compliance Assist with internal environmental auditsGain exposure to environmental regulations related to: Water, Waste, & Air through project support and researchAdditional duties as assigned by managementRequirements & QualificationsSeeking Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Sustainability, or related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines with excellent organizational skillsAbility to work independently, take initiative, be creative and innovative
