This position works closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, supply chain, and customers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for blow molding machinery and related equipment.\nCreate detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation using CAD software.\nSupport new machine development, machine enhancements, and product standardization initiatives.\nPerform engineering calculations and analyses related to machine performance, structural integrity, motion control, and manufacturability.\nCollaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product quality, assembly efficiency, and production processes.\nInvestigate and resolve mechanical design issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nAssist with machine testing, validation, and commissioning activities.\nSupport field service and customer applications by providing technical expertise and engineering solutions.\nCollaborate with fellow engineers and technicians to provide subject matter expertise\nSupport continuous improvement and efficiency optimization studies\nSupport Purchasing to develop purchased parts specifications\nSupport Sales with development of cost estimates and quotations\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline\n3+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing or industrial equipment environment.\nProficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar platforms.\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine design, and manufacturing processes.\nExperience interpreting and creating engineering drawings and GD&T.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing capital equipment, industrial machinery, or plastics processing equipment.\nKnowledge of blow molding, extrusion, injection molding, or packaging manufacturing processes.\nExperience with FEA.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\nWork Environment:\nOffice / Manufacturing environment. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, painting etc.\nTravel / Customer Support. Employee might be expected to perform customer support and guidance at their locations.
