The Accountant will be heavily involved with general ledger and inventory management as well as assisting the Corporate Controller/Asst. Controller in providing timely and accurate financial data, while demonstrating a high level of professionalism.\n\nDuties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:\nAssisting with the financial monthly close (General Journals, Balance Sheet Recs, etc.)\nAssisting with inventory management (Cycle Counts, Research Discrepancies, etc.)\nClosing Production/FG Batch Tickets (all facilities)\nGross Profit Margin Tracking\nParticipate in Inventory Counts\nApproving monthly bank reconciliations\nApproving ACH/wire payments\nApproving Sales/IFTA Tax Returns\nUpdating and implementing processes and procedures\nInternal and external audits\nPreparing Multiple Reports (RM, GPM, Working Capital, Daily Sales Report/Forecasting, etc.)\nMaintaining orderly filing system for general journals and other accounting documents in accordance with the file retention policy\nAssisting with related special projects, as required\n\nMinimum Training, Education, and Experience Requirements:\nAssociates/Bachelor’s degree required\nMinimum 3 years experience necessary\nExperience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar software is preferred\nIntermediate knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook is necessary\nAble to effectively interface with internal and external customers\nMust be able to handle confidential information with maximum discretion\nAble to understand business principles and apply them accordingly\nAble to work independently and on a team within a fast-paced environment\nDemonstrate good judgment while managing projects, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines with a sense of urgency\nDetail-oriented, organized, efficient, and proactive\nExcellent interpersonal/presentation skills\nExcellent written/verbal communication skills\nHigh level of accountability and flexibility\nHigh level of self-confidence, professional grooming and demeanor, positive, self-starter and high degree of emotional stamina\nOpen and willing to receive and give constructive critique\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills\nKey Metrics:\nThe Accountant will be held accountable for the following metrics (not all inclusive) as it relates to the operational area assigned.
