This allows us to offer what Big Tech cannot: Zero-Data-Retention (ZDR) guarantees, unbiased ranking, and total sovereignty.\nOur Search API is currently powering the next generation of LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.). We are looking for a hybrid Product Marketer and Developer Advocate to own the GTM strategy for this platform.\nYou will bridge the gap between our engineering team and the developer market. You will not just market the product; you will demonstrate how to build with it.\nRole Overview\nThis is a technical sales role for Brave Search API.\nWe need someone who can work directly with prospective customers and help them understand whether Brave Search API is the right fit for what they are building. That means running demos, answering technical questions, helping with early integrations, building small proof-of-concepts, and giving Product and Engineering clear feedback on what customers are asking for.\nThis is not a pure marketing role and it is not a community-only DevRel role. The work is closer to solutions engineering, but with enough developer-facing content and example code to help people get started without a lot of hand-holding.\nYou should be comfortable talking to developers, founders, technical buyers, and internal teams, and be able to build credible examples using the product.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport technical sales conversations: Join customer and partner calls, help with technical discovery, answer product questions, and explain how Brave Search API can fit into different products and AI workflows.\nRun demos and build proof-of-concepts: Create demos, small apps, notebooks, and examples that show how to use Brave Search API for search, RAG, LLM apps, agents, and other use cases customers care about.\nHelp customers get started: Work with prospects and customers as they move from first API call to a working integration. Identify where they get stuck and help remove those blockers.\nImprove sales and onboarding materials: Create and maintain technical guides, demo scripts, sample code, integration notes, FAQs, and comparison materials that help customers evaluate the product.\nWork with Product and Engineering: Bring back clear feedback from customers, including missing features, confusing docs, common implementation issues, pricing questions, and competitive gaps.\nImprove the developer experience: Help make the docs, examples, API onboarding, and setup flow easier to use. The goal is to make it simple for a developer to test Brave Search API and understand what they can build with it.\nSupport integrations: Help Brave show up well in the tools AI developers already use, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vercel AI SDK, and similar frameworks.\nSupport launches: Work with Product Marketing when needed, mostly by providing the technical pieces: demos, docs, examples, and clear explanations of what changed.\nRequirements and Qualifications\nTechnical sales experience: You have worked with prospects, customers, partners, or technical buyers before. You know how to ask good questions, understand what someone is trying to build, and explain whether the product can help.\nHands-on technical ability: You can read and write basic Python or JavaScript, test an API with cURL or Postman, and build simple examples without needing an engineer to do it for you.\nAI and search knowledge: You understand RAG, LLMs, agents, context windows, search APIs, and the difference between lexical and semantic search.\nDeveloper credibility: You know what makes APIs frustrating to use. You care about docs, rate limits, examples, error messages, and how long it takes someone to get their first successful API call.\nClear communication: You can explain technical ideas in plain language. You can write docs, customer notes, demo scripts, and short technical explainers that do not sound like marketing copy.\nGood internal follow-through: You can take what customers are saying and turn it into useful feedback for Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.\nBonus Points\nExperience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, developer platforms, API products, search infrastructure, AI tools, or data products.\nExperience working at or with developer-focused companies such as Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, HashiCorp, LangChain, or similar companies.\nExisting familiarity with the AI builder ecosystem.\nExperience helping customers move from evaluation to production.\nWhy Brave?\nReal Tech, No Slideware: We aren't selling a wrapper. We have our own crawlers, index, and serving stack.\nDavid vs. Goliath: We are the only viable alternative to the Big Tech search monopoly. The market needs us to win.\nHigh Impact: You will be the primary voice for a product used by millions of users and thousands of developers.\nPrivacy First: We prove that you don't need to harvest user data to build a world-class business.\n\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to drive developer growth for a cutting-edge API product in a high-growth company.\nRemote flexibility with a collaborative, results-oriented culture.\nCompetitive salary, benefits, and professional development opportunities.\nCompensation in the United States is $150,000.00 to $200,000.00 DOE\nHow to Apply\nSend your resume, GitHub profile, and one specific example of a technical product you helped bring to market (a blog post, a demo, a launch strategy, or a docs page).\nBrave is an equal opportunity employer.
