In this role, you will work across the full technology stack, building scalable front-end and back-end solutions using React, Node.js, .NET/C#, and Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate within Agile teams to deliver secure, high-quality software while leveraging modern development practices, cloud-native technologies, AI-assisted engineering tools, and DevOps automation.\n\nThe ideal candidate combines strong full-stack development expertise with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence. This role requires hands-on experience building large-scale web applications, APIs, and microservices, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and contribute to architecture, security, and application modernization initiatives.\n\nYou'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy full-stack features for enterprise web applications\nBuild and maintain scalable microservices, REST APIs, and backend services using Node.js, .NET Core/C#, and Azure cloud services\nDevelop responsive, component-based user interfaces using ReactJS and modern SPA frameworks\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues to ensure reliability, performance, and availability\nImplement secure coding practices and address application security vulnerabilities\nUtilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and software delivery\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, solution design, code reviews, sprint planning, and estimation activities\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and infrastructure management using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform\nEvaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and adoption of standards\n\nYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline\n3+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise web applications, microservices, REST APIs, and secure solutions\n3+ years of hands-on experience with .NET/C#, .NET Core, ReactJS, and Node.js\n3+ years of experience building large-scale React-based SPA applications\n2+ years of experience designing and building cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes\nExperience with DevOps practices, CI/CD/CT pipelines, and tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins\nExperience with SQL databases, data modeling, and SQL scripting\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform\nPassion for technology, innovation, and continuous learning\nSolid problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills\n\n*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.\n\nPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
