Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg PCU Tele/n/nJob Details:/n• Work every other weekend schedule/n• 16-hour NBO (Night, Bends, Overtime) requirement/n• Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)/n• Patient ratio of 1:6/n• Required to float across Med Surg, BH, ED, ICU and some post-procedural areas with no home unit/n• Primary care will be Med Surg floating to units where assistance is needed most based on census/staffing/n• Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring and reading EKG/ECG including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia reads/n• Experience required with drips: heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, digoxin/n• Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with passing score of 80% during onboarding/n• EPIC EMR experience required/n• 24 months of experience in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele or Med Surg/Telemetry required/n• First time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of nursing experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized)/n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC)/n• Preferred certifications: De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI), NIH Stroke Scale certificate/n• Iowa license or compact/multistate license required/n• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring a 130-bed capacity with advanced telemetry monitoring capabilities.
