Production Supervisor - Arils

JOB SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor will be trained and assigned on a rotational schedule to support and lead key operational areas Juice processing, Arils processing and Sanitation. Working across these functions, the supervisor will collaborate with Quality, and Maintenance teams to validate Standard Work Sequences (SWS), drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), prevent over-production, and uphold high standards of product integrity, safety and cleanliness. During peak season, this role will serve as a pivotal leader, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and cross-department collaboration. Compensation - $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 w/ Up to 5% bonus potential. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience. Job Description Lead and supervise a team of production workers, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback, including engaging in corrective action conversations, to insure a safe working environment. Strategically plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet set targets and deadlines, including strict adherence to established production centerlines. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless production operations. Enforce and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Arils manufacturing processes, ensuring uniformity and adherence to quality standards. Monitor and uphold the functionality of equipment, proactively initiating maintenance or repairs as necessary. Effectively manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies to guarantee uninterrupted production. Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, cultivating a safety-aware culture within the production team, along with collaborating with Quality control team to ensure the production of high-quality products. Observes and enforces safety, GMPs, and Food safety programs and attends appropriate training sessions. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and increased efficiency in the production process. Maintain precise production records and reports for review of upper management review regarding comprehensive performance tracking and data-driven decision-making. Manage the Arils facility FMDS (floor management development systems) board and conduct daily meetings. Collaborate with the sanitation lead to identify key cleaning areas and implement enhancements to sanitation procedures. Assess required workforce and develop a labor model aligned with production requirements. Qualifications Ability to see the “big picture” business perspective but is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and do whatever it takes to get the job done. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and assistance to all levels of employees. Professional communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently. Ability to perform efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to be flexible and adaptable. Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management skills. Ability to employ creative and innovative thought processes. Ability to perform analysis and communicate results effectively. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle software. Able to manage and execute directives. Able to problem solve quickly and invent innovative ways to continue production. Able to gather summarize and report KPI’s accurately and effectively. Proactively and consistently works on improving performance, problem solving and facilitation skills. Looks to implement team mentality and work past roadblocks. Demonstrates leadership/confidence at all times. Able to mentor subordinates for successful results, disciplining them when necessary. Work with other support and customer teams to resolve conflicts and problems. Education & Experience At least 2-4 years progressively responsible Production experience in a supervisory capacity, with a specific emphasis in manufacturing preferably within a production/manufacturing setting. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
