The intern will be involved in various aspects of project management, including job shadowing Assistant Project Managers (APMs), Project Engineers (PEs), and Project Managers (PMs).\nKey Responsibilities:\nMonth 1 & 2: Job shadowing APMs\n· Learn the contract, project documentation, and purchase orders side of project management.\n· Assist in the preparation and tracking of project budgets and schedules.\n· Assist in reviewing and tracking project change orders and RFIs.\n· Learn to prepare and review project submittals and closeout documents.\nMonth 3 & 4: Job shadowing within the PE pool.\n· Learn take-offs and estimating; assist with project budgets and buy-outs.\n· Assist in reviewing project drawings and specifications.\n· Assist in the preparation of bid packages and subcontractor scopes of work.\n· Learn to review and evaluate subcontractor proposals and bids.\n· Learn how to assist in the procurement of project resources and equipment.\nMonth 5 & 6: Job shadowing PMs\n· Attend project meetings (owner and subcontractor)\n· Learn to update project schedules, participate in project communication.\n· Eventually document meeting minutes and follow up on open items.\n· Assist in the preparation of project reports, including project status updates and financial reports.\nQualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.\nBenefits:\nOpportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of project management.\nWork alongside experienced professionals and learn from their expertise.\nOpportunity to develop and enhance your skills in project management, communication, and leadership.\nExposure to different aspects of the construction industry\nCompetitive compensation\nWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
