Location: Camden, NJ; Advanced Manufacturing DivisionJob DescriptionHoltec International is seeking qualified Maintenance Technicians to join its Manufacturing Operations team. The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and facility systems. This hands-on position will support daily operations by maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and systems critical to Holtec’s manufacturing activities.Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to support both routine preventive maintenance and urgent repair needs. This role involves working collaboratively with operations, engineering, and safety personnel in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Maintenance Technicians must be capable of interpreting technical documentation, performing root cause analyses, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Specific Areas Of ResponsibilityFollow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and ensure compliance with safety standards.Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and performance.Install, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade mechanical and electrical systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication, power transmission, cranes, and mobile equipment).Diagnose and repair components such as motors, wiring, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, and power supplies.Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.Install and wire new equipment, including conduit and power systems, per specifications.Inspect, dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment; support commissioning and decommissioning activities.Test equipment to verify effective repairs and proper operation.Complete work orders, track parts, and maintain accurate maintenance records.Assist with maintenance planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize work and resolve technical issues.Apply strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.Minimum Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (or equivalent combination of education/training, including military).Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication, and power transmission systems.Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical instructions, and equipment documentation.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Solid understanding of industrial safety practices.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.Comfortable working in industrial environments, including exposure to varying conditions (e.g., shop floor, warehouse, outdoor areas).Additional Desirable QualificationsTechnical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field.Experience with overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and welding support systems.Knowledge of motor controls, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical systems.Familiarity with CMMS.Experience in a manufacturing environment with quality and safety standards.Salary Range: $25 per hour to $40 per hour based on experience.Holtec International offers a competitive benefits package to eligible associates, which includes:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and 11 Paid HolidaysCompany-paid life and AD&D insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramWellness resources and voluntary benefitsTraining and educational assistanceAs a technology trailblazer and a prominent innovator in clean energy (nuclear and solar) industry, Holtec strives to foster a meritocratic work environment conducive to continuous learning and professional growth of its associates.
