Function:\n\nDevelops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections\n\nDesigns NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures\n\nDevelops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs\n\nAssists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs\n\nAssists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements\n\nPerforms routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements\n\nAssists in implementing corrective and preventive actions\n\nUses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements\n\nIncorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas\n\nRequirements:\n\nBachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry\n\n1+ years of engineering experience\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\nExperience with CAD systems such as CATIA, Solidworks\n\nExperience with NDI systems: ultrasonics, eddy current\n\nExperience in aviation and/or aerospace\n\nExperience working in multidisciplinary team\n\nExcellent communication skills\n\nExcellent skills with various computing systems\n\nExcellent documentation and technical writing skills\n\nExcellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects
