This role involves coordinating with various departments, contractors, and teams to achieve project goals. The ideal candidate should have commercial or industrial construction management experience and be proficient in problem-solving, project budgeting, and maintaining strong communication with team members and external stakeholders.\nResponsibilities:\nOversees and manages all aspects of construction projects for a distribution company, serving as the owner’s representative for projects handled by general contractors throughout the United States and Canada\nCoordinate with internal teams (Real Estate, IT, and Marketing) and external contractors.\nCoordinates effectively with contractors to ensure project requirements are met.\nUtilizes construction experience to ensure adherence to relevant building codes and safety standards.\nDevelops and manages project budgets, including hard and soft costs.\nCreates and manages project schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.\nAssembles and manages teams of consultants and contractors, negotiating contracts and maintaining relationships.\nIdentifies and addresses potential liabilities and risks.\nAssists in training and developing project team members.\nEngages in business development activities to secure new construction projects and partnerships within local markets.\nOther job-related duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.\nProject Manager candidate shall possess 5-8 years of industry experience, preferably in roles such as Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager.\nAssistant Project Manager shall possess 1-2 years of experience in the industry.\nFirm knowledge of construction, architecture, or commercial real estate industry.\nAbility to read and interpret construction plans, lease agreements, and building codes.\nProficiency in MS Office software, especially MS Excel. Experience with construction management software is a plus.\nStrong interpersonal skills for interactions with internal and external clients.\nSuperior organizational and time management skills.\nStrong problem-solving abilities while prioritizing safety and security.\nWillingness to travel domestically up to 15% as needed.\nBilingual, Military, Military Spouses and Veteran applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!
