OPPORTUNITY: The School Site Coordinator will supervise the day-to-day operations of the After School Programs for one of our four campuses. This position will report directly to the Program Manager and work with members of the school’s administration team to ensure goals are met.  This position is charged with ensuring that all students are in a safe, well- supervised environment that provides them with well-designed academic and enrichment programs. We are looking for developing leaders with the energy to develop the operations infrastructure required to support the growth of an After School Program. Ideal candidates will have some after school operations experience or experience in a related field. The School Site Coordinator must be a team player and creative problem solver who is able to work effectively with financial resources. A sincere commitment to serving low-income students is mandatory. This is a part-time (approximately 25 hours/week) position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The classification specification does not necessarily describe all the duties that might need to be performed. Work with the Program Manager and the school administration to design, plan, and oversee implementation of an After School Program that includes the following components: homework assistance and/or tutoring, academic enrichment, physical recreation, family support programs and snack. Expected hours are approximately 12:30-6:30pm Monday-Thursday. Collaborate with the Program Manager to design programming Adhere to IOTA’s administrative and financial policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, enrollment forms, emergency contact information forms, sign-in data, attendance reports, and managing data required for program evaluation and reporting. Maintain a cooperative relationship with the school faculty and support staff to maximize linkages between the after-school program and the regular school day. Implement a plan to ensure maximum daily attendance including communication with parents regarding absences and early outs, staff referrals to the program, and student evaluation of enrichment activities. Implementing a marketing plan to reach the parents of current and prospective participants, students, school staff and the community at large. The plan should include a system for keeping parents informed about daily schedules, schedule changes and special events. Attend all mandatory meetings with After School Programming and School staff. Attend all mandatory program management and training sessions. Implement the site behavior management, risk management and safety management plans, policies and procedures and school rules and standards. Adhering to the compliance guidelines directed by the Extended Learning Department. Analyzing and Inputting data into a state data system daily. QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of experience in implementing and supervising programs for middle and high school-aged students; bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency in word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet, and Database software. Fluency with data that includes an ability to track and record key metrics. Training will be provided on proprietary IOTA reporting software. Valid Tennessee Driver's License. Belief in the IOTA mission. Ability to relate well to students, parents and staff (school and other agencies) within a wide range of racial and cultural differences. Experience and sensitivity with diverse populations. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a current (within 60 days of employment) TB test. Must have clear fingerprint (Live Scan) on file with IOTA (instructions provided upon hire) Possess current valid First Aid and CPR Certification or obtain it within 3 weeks of hire date. COMPENSATION: The wage for this position will be $18 - $20/per hour, based on experience.
