The candidate will use their vast knowledge, experience, and resourcefulness to choose the correct vision system for each application. The candidate will develop the concept, design the system, install, train the receiving plant, and provide support for the vision system post handoff to the plant.\n\nFollowing health, safety, environmental regulations, and safety protocols, (LOTO)\n\nBuilding mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among all team members\n\nCommunicating across cross-functional groups\n\nBeing responsible for projects from technical specification to startup support\n\nDesigning and developing all aspects of vision control systems, equipment, and programming using Lear standards and building upon with innovative ideas\n\nWriting, implementing, and debugging PLC software\n\nProviding support to existing Lear vision equipment globally\n\nDeveloping contingency and disaster recovery plans\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nThree years’ experience in a controls/vision engineering role.\n\nMust be a self‑starter, team player, work well with others, and have a positive attitude\n\nMust be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy\n\nProficient in RSLogix5000, Studio5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio\n\nKnowledgeable of Keyence, & Cognex cameras\n\nMust have ability to prioritize, multi‑task and meet deadlines\n\nC+ or C++ Programming capabilities\n\nKnowledge on machine learning with AI capabilities\n\nSelf‑driven and willingness to work long hours during installations, if required\n\nWillingness to travel globally – up to 30‑50%\n\nLear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.\n\nApplicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
