{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"fa216f8d7b48ec13f4d20e49","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fa216f8d7b48ec13f4d20e49","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fa216f8d7b48ec13f4d20e49","title":"Senior Electrical Design Engineer","description":"*Overview*\n\nI'm excited to be partnering with an established organization who are looking to hire a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.\n\nThe successful candidate will be working in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems group.\n\n*Duties/Responsibilities:*\n\n* Develops innovative but practical solutions for advanced technical systems, including electrical power systems, vehicle management/flight control systems, payload subsystems, etc.\n* Develops and analyzes electrical system architectures, evaluates electrical circuits and their operation at the system level, develops aircraft power budgets, analyzes equipment for compliance with requirements, etc.\n* Provides technical direction to internal functional engineering disciplines and vendors.\n* Creates and presents reports and technical briefs that clearly communicate complex technical concepts during engineering meetings and program reviews.\n* May function in an advisory or leadership role for a project/program and provide direction and guidance to less experienced professional staff or a team of professional staff.\n* Represents the organization as a prime technical contact within the engineering team for assigned project(s)/program(s).\n* Addresses technical issues requiring novel and creative approaches drawing on engineering concepts.\n* Participates in or may lead the development of new or expansion of existing business opportunities.\n\n*Job Qualifications:*\n\n* Typically requires a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or Ph.D. in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; twelve or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, ten or more years of experience with a masters degree, or seven or more years with a Ph.D. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.\n* Must have a complete understanding of electrical engineering concepts, such as power, grounding, analog/digital circuitry, databus architectures, etc., experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts, and ability to expand knowledge of related concepts, theories, and practices.\n* Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly;
