Selected candidate must be willing to support 2 - 3 days onsite at the client location. The Senior Software Developer will lead the development and integration of AI tools and agent systems onto self-contained edge devices to ensure secure, air-gapped deployment and compliance with government standards. This role involves overseeing the development lifecycle, optimizing AI workflows, and ensuring system reliability. Selected candidate will possess strong attention to detail, professional communication skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to excellence.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop AI agents and workflows\nCreate AI Training and Testing harness to ensure AI determinism\nDesign, develop, and deploy offline semantic memory databases for AI systems\nArchitect and deploy AI containers with full model weights, ensuring GPU compatibility and secure execution\nDesign, develop, and implement deterministic scripts for pre-flight procedures, aligning with Fleet Support Equipment (SE) requirements\nOversee the development of SW test environments and validate AI responses through lab and ground testing\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with GFE documentation and air-gapped security protocols\nMentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to technical standards\nDevelop, implement, and manage all Software Requirements.\nMonitor and track Contracts Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).\nPreferred skills:\nFamiliarity with DOW Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)\nFamiliarity with NIST 800-53 Controls\nFamiliarity with the FIPS 199 publication and determination of System Baseline\nQualifications:\nBA or BS degree and 5+ years of experience\nExpertise in AI development, containerization (Docker or Podman preferred, experience with Kubernetes also suitable), and GPU optimization\nFamiliarity with Vector Databases (Qdrant\nStrong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.\nStrong proficiency with the following core programming languages:\nPython\nSQL (MySQL, SQLite, or PostgreSQL experience preferred)\nSecurity Clearance:\nDue to the requirements of this contract, U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS SCI clearance is required.
