You’ll work across teams, solve challenges with a smile, and make sure the entire organization moves as one.Position SummaryThe Lending Support Specialist I assists lenders by explaining complex processes, responding to procedural questions, and providing technical guidance. This position assists lenders and the credit team with various tasks including document preparation, identifying and resolving technical issues, and assisting with compliance reviews and examinations. The Lending Support Specialist I reports to the Lending Support & Development Manager and provides excellent service and support to team members and customers while demonstrating the Company’s values and supporting the mission.Position Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport lenders by explaining complex processes, responding to procedural questions, and providing technical guidanceProvide administrative support to lenders to include assistance with data entry and document preparation. Handle routine inquiries and requests.Identify and resolve technical or system issues involving the loan application process or other lending tasks. Partner with Lending Systems Support, IT Support, or other relevant teams as needed to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.Maintain knowledge of lending procedures, regulations, and system changes in order to provide accurate and timely assistance to lendersCollaborate with business units such as underwriting, processing, and closing to facilitate optimal workflows and efficient problem solvingProvide administrative support to the credit team to include assistance with compliance reviews and examinations, preparation of incentives, and compiling various reports as neededSupport process improvement by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and facilitating enhancements to lending workflows and systemsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networksAttend training as requestedAdhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering ProgramParticipate in outside community activities as requiredPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field1 year of experience in commercial lending support, credit analysis, or a related field preferredAbility to understand and apply knowledge of lending processes, documentation, collateralization, UCC-1 Law, lien perfection, and deeds of trustAbility to understand and apply knowledge of lending regulations, loan underwriting, audit standards and risk management relevant to the lending functionProficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard software applicationsEffective written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsDetail orientedCritical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skillsHigh standards for integrity, honesty, professionalism, and work ethicCommitment to service excellenceAbility to work independently while demonstrating excellent organization and follow throughDemonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workloadAbility and willingness to work with purpose and a strong sense of urgencySelf-motivated, positive, and enthusiasticSelf-starter with a strong desire to exceed expectationsMaintain confidentiality discretionAbility to effectively work in collaboration with others to achieve business objectivesWilling to grow and be challengedComprehensive Benefits & RecognitionWe believe success should be acknowledged and celebrated.
